Metallography Analysis
Hot Mounting (Hot Moulding) is a metallographic specimen preparation technique in which a specimen is embedded in a thermosetting or thermoplastic resin using heat and pressure. It produces a strong, durable mount that facilitates grinding, polishing, hardness testing, and microscopic examination.
